Privacy Policy
How this website handles information. It applies to this site only — not to clinical care, which is governed by the privacy practices of the facility where care is provided.
Effective June 1, 2023
1. We do not collect personal information through this site
This website has no contact forms, no account registration, no newsletter signup and no e-commerce. We do not ask you to submit your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, insurance details or any health information through this site, and there is no mechanism on this site for you to do so.
2. Standard web server information
Like essentially all websites, this site is delivered by a hosting provider that automatically records standard technical information each time a page is requested. This typically includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Date and time of the request
- The page or file requested
- Browser type and version, and operating system
- Referring page, if you arrived by following a link
- General geographic region inferred from the IP address
This information is generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure. It is used to deliver the site, keep it available, and identify technical problems or abuse. We do not use it to try to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with any other information to do so.
3. Hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify, which processes the server log information described above on our behalf in order to deliver the site. Netlify maintains its own privacy practices covering that processing.
4. Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and does not use third-party advertising networks, behavioral tracking, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking. Your browser may store ordinary technical data on its own; that is a function of your browser, not of this site.
5. Fonts and third-party resources
This site uses only fonts already present on your device and does not load fonts, scripts, tag managers or embedded media from third-party servers.
6. Email
If you choose to email us at the address published on this site, we will receive whatever you put in that message, including your email address. We use it only to respond to you and to keep an ordinary business record of the correspondence.
Do not send patient-identifiable information or protected health information by email. Ordinary email is not a secure or encrypted channel, and the mailbox published on this site is not intended or configured for receiving protected health information. If you send it anyway, you do so at your own risk. For clinical matters concerning a specific patient, contact the facility where care is being provided.
7. Children
This site is directed to hospitals, surgical facilities and healthcare professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
8. Your choices
Because we do not collect personal information through this site, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed from our records, write to the address below and we will honor the request where we are permitted to do so.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy may be sent to Doalsanesthesia@gmail.com.
This policy covers this website only. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Where clinical care is delivered, the applicable notice is the one issued by the hospital, surgery center or other facility at which that care occurs.
